The European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) is the leading authority on illicit drugs in the European Union.
In the past, information on patterns of drug use was only collected with General Population Surveys. They give us information that is representative of the population, but they lack detail. With web surveys, we can reach people who use drugs directly. These surveys are quick to set up, they get us new data fast and we can spot drug trends more rapidly.
