Reitox Academy on European Prevention Curricula (EUPC): Training for Decision-, Opinion- and Policymakers

The first Reitox Academy on the European Prevention Curriculum (EUPC): Training for Decision-, Opinion- and Policymakers takes place online from 26-30 October.

The aim of the EUPC initiative is to implement a standardised prevention training curriculum in Europe and improve the overall effectiveness of prevention. The training curriculum was developed by the EU-funded project UPC-Adapt.

Advancing the professionalism of the drug prevention workforce in Europe is at the heart of a European Prevention Curriculum (EUPC) handbook, launched by the EMCDDA in 2019. The manual is designed to train professionals who are involved in shaping prevention decisions, opinions and policies in Europe in the science-based prevention of substance use.

The Academy gathers participants from the EU Member States (Czechia, Ireland, Cyprus, Latvia, the Netherlands, Romania, Slovenia and Finland) and from the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro).
