The EMCDDA will open up the May meeting of the Reitox network of national focal points to its partners from: Candidate and Potential Candidate countries to the EU; Eastern and Southern Partnerships countries; and Russia.
The meeting, which will include scientific and technical discussions, will be entitled ‘Reitox week’ and takes place in Lisbon from 29 May–1 June 2012. It will be structured around two sessions: the meeting of the ‘extended’ Reitox network on 29–30 May, followed by the meeting of EU Reitox members (EU Member States + Norway, Croatia and Turkey).
The objective of the meeting is twofold:
- to foster exchanges of know-how and experiences between all countries on practical and thematic issues related to the work of the focal points, and to the monitoring of the drug situation at national and European level;
- to further develop the cooperation framework in the perspective of a future participation of Candidate, Potential Candidate and Neighbouring countries in the work of the EMCDDA.
